KORANA

River Korana arises as a prolongation of National park Plitvice lakes, and its total length is 134,2 km. In the canyon of the upper flow of river Korana hides an abundance of waterfalls that represent an ideal coulisse for our programs.

On many parts Korana flows through picturesque, calcareous canyons 100 m high. These canyons are overgrown with beech forest and on some parts bald. In the upper flow many picturesque caves are situated, from which the most distinct one is Matesiceva cave that we also inserted in our programs for You.

We’ll take You on unforgettable adventure on our beautiful Korana with our Colorado boats where You’ll face the primal nature and turgid water or You’ll sail with our DAG kayaks on unmatched kayak safari familiarizing the beauty of this unique river.

You can choose from handful of tracks that we adapted for all ages and personal wishes from which the most attractive are; competitive track through Rastoke - Little Plitvice in length of 600m where during the high water level Korana becomes fast, wild and thrilling, and during the summer months an ideal experience of Rastoke where the waterfalls of river Slunjcica that flow under the old watermills and over the travertine barriers will shower You with her gentle dew or track Nikšć-Veljun 10 km long that represents a perfect whole day company over a regiment of waterfalls, playfulness rapids and irresistible river pools, learning the history of this river through its clandestine stories!

MREŽNICA

For a beauty like Mreznica words are not enough to describe her, but we will give a small introduction of what is expecting You.

Wellspring of the exceptional Mreznica is located within the military polygon Eugen Kvaternik in a cave below Popovića peak (479m). In her 64 km long flow, 93 remarkable travertine waterfalls are located from which 26 waterfalls are settled in the upper flow of only 5 km of length. Not only has Mreznica provided u number of waterfalls, but there is an armful of river lakes ideal for swimming and resting.

Passing through several imitative waterfalls and travertine barriers, from which the most important one to mention is Milkovica waterfall (8m) where we stop for unforgettable water acrobatics from the high cliffs for diving and natural slide chiseled out by water through the heart of the waterfall, we arrive to the tight part of the canyon with a strong well which lowers the water temperature for 6-7°C, and the influence of that well is felt for 5 km downstream. Our adventure ends at the bridge in Tounjski Trzic, after which Mreznica imbibes shallow and slow flow.

Crystal-clear and clean water, waterfalls, rapids and river lakes, wealthy vegetation and our professional leadership guarantee memorable adventure on untamed and sly Mreznica, and the loss of energy we’ll restore with bounteous lunch in our restaurant.

TERMS AND DIRECTIONS FOR RAFTING AND KAYAKING

From your personal things, take your t-shirt, Badin suit, towel, sandals or sneakers for water,

in colder weather bring a sweater. If you wear glasses thigh them with a string. We are not responsible for lost or damaged things. It is essential that the participants can swim and follow the guides- skippers’ instructions so they don’t propose danger for themselves or other companions.

After agreed arrangement between Travel agency “Mirjana” and the client, as a reservation conformation it is necessary to deposit 50% of the arranged sum.

It is skippers’ duty and right not to allow persons under influence of alcohol and narcotics to board the boat. In that case we don’t return the money.

In case of bad weather forecast (you will be informed) the trip will be canceled, the deposit will be returned or it will be valid for another term.

If a client cancels the trip 8 days in advance the deposit sum will be returned. If a client cancels the trip 2-7 days before the arranged term Travel agency “Mirjana” has a right to hold up the deposit. In case that a client does not come on the day of the trip or cancels the trip day before arranged term, Travel agency “Mirjana” has a right to keep the deposit or total sum!
